World's Most Wholesome Comic Heads to HNL for Performance

Get to the store and stock up on Jello Pudding Pops: It will help you get in the mood for Bill Cosby's arrival. That's right: Fat Albert is coming to town. This legendary comedian, actor, artist, father and icon of America will perform two rare shows at the Blaisdell Concert Hall on Friday, January 15. Tickets go on sale this coming Saturday, October 24, at the Blaisdell Box Office on Ward Avenue.

Since becoming one of the most recognizable comedic actors in the U.S., Cosby has created (and produced) his own successful television show (Fat Albert), starred in the 8-year-run of The Cosby Show, sold millions of comedic albums around the world, championed a variety of charitable causes and made us all laugh for more than 5 decades. Cosby was recognized with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1998, and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in July, 2002.

This fall Cosby is releasing his first hip-hop collaboration, entitled "Cosnarati", of which you can read about (and listen to clips) on his web site. The Cosby Show's 25th Anniversary Commemorative Edition DVD box set was recently released by First Look Studios, and is also available at www.BillCosby.com.

The Honolulu performances on January 15th will be at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., respectively.
