We All Scream For 100% Organic Kona Coffee Ice Cream

Its beans grow at an elevation of 3,200 feet on the Big Island's Mt. Hualalai. Last year, Mountain Thunder Coffee Plantation began selling their 100% organic Kona coffee at the Costco in Kona, thus expanding the island's love for all things Mountain Thunder. [Costco also purchases and roasts Mountain Thunder beans on Oahu and sells under the "Kirkland" brand throughout the State of Hawaii.]

Today, Mountain Thunder has struck a partnership with local favorite Meadow Gold Dairies of Hawaii to offer their top-quality coffee for inclusion in certain varieties of Meadow Gold ice cream. In a statement sent by the folk at Mountain Thunder (boy, we love writing that name), the company said "While most Kona coffee ice creams on the market settle for freeze-dried 10% blends for flavor, the collaborative recipe uses and extract derived from Mountain Thunder's ultra fine grind 100% Kona coffee to enhance the flavor and provide a speckled texture."
