Maui Food Bank Benefit Gives You a Chance to Sample High-end Eats at Prix-Fixe Prices
If you need an excuse to get out and eat on Maui, then here it is: Restaurant Week is back at Wailea, and the deals abound between Sunday, May 23 and Saturday, May 29, 2010. In addition, a portion of every prix-fixe menu at the sixteen participating restaurants will go towards feeding the hungry at Maui Food Bank.
Take advantage of the opportunity to experience a handful of the upscale restaurants you may have held back on during these financially daunting times. They include (but are not limited to): Capische? at the Hotel Wailea, Duo Steak and Seafood at the Four Seasons, Mala Wailea at the Marriott, Spago (also at Four Seasons), Nick's Fish Market at the Fairmont Kea Lani and Joe's in Wailea.
Special menus range from $29 to $39 per person for a 3-course meal prepared by some of the top chefs in Hawai`i. Many of the participating restaurants will offer wine pairings with each course for an additional (albeit reduced) fee.
Last year, nearly 10,000 prix-fixe meals were served, raising the same dollar value for Maui Food Bank.
