Makaha Sons, without question, are the voice of Hawaii. For over 30 years, their ethereal, hauntingly pleasant harmonies have provided the soundscape for all things Hawaiiana. They have won every Hawaiian music award there is to win-and played events from Ni'ihau to Nu'uanu.
Next month, Makaha Sons will perform a special Valentine's concert at The Palace Theater in historic downtown Hilo, at 6:30 p.m. As tickets are limited and will undoubtedly disappear quickly, make every effort possible to get yourself (and your special valentine) to the event. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door (if there are any left). Call (808) 934-7010 to place an order.
If you don't find yourself in bucolic Hilo over the holiday, or simply can't wait until February to see them, they will play a single show at the Hawaii Theatre in Honolulu's Chinatown this Friday, January 11th, followed by three shows at Chai's Island Bistro at Aloha Tower, on Saturday, January 12th, Tuesday the 15th, and Wednesday the 16th.
Makaha Sons will perform one Maui concert in the coming months, on Saturday, February 16th, at a benefit luau for the Maui Coastal Land Trust.
