Treat Your Mum: Mother's Day at La Mer

Mother's Day is approaching on Sunday, May 9, and Halekulani executive chef Vikram Garg wants you to help mom ring in her awesomeness with a four-course, not-to-be-missed lunch at the hotel's award-winning La Mer. If your salivary glands don't perk up after reading the following menu, then please move on to reading another magazine, entirely.

Garg wil start mom off with a choice of "Olive Oil Poached Scallop with Sunchoke Puree, Vaucluse Truffles and Sauce Gribiche", a "Tian of Salmon and Smoked Baby Leeks with Spring Melon and Saffron Oil" or "Tuna Tartare with Warm Foie Gras, Haricot Vert and Grain Mustard Vinaigrette".

Second course is a "Green Pea Veloute" (soup). The entree offers three choices—hopefully the most difficult decision mom will have all year. First is a "Pan Seared Halibut with Sauteed Mushroom, White Asparagus and Crayfish Sauce". Second choice is  "Roasted Breast of Duck, Braised Red Cabbage with Juniper Berries, Gratin Potato and Caramelized Honey." Finally, you and mom can choose the "Natural Filet Beef served with Ravioli Nicoise, Fava Beans, Changerelles, Parsley Potato and Jus".

Garg will send you off on a sweet note with "Crepes Suzette with Grand Marnier Ice Cream and Orange Gastrique."
