New Fare for Foodies at the Reborn Ritz-Carlton Kapalua

Fresh off a huge, multi-million dollar renovation, the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, is casting the spotlight on its newly refurbished Kai Sushi restaurant, a seafood buffet at The Terrace restaurant, and the opening of the new Beach House café.

Kai Sushi, formerly tucked behind the Ritz's lobby lounge and bar, launched a 50 percent off evening, every Friday from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. Adjacent from Kai's new, ocean-facing location, the Alaloa Lounge features live music every Friday evening.

This week marks the start of a special "Tapas Night" menu at The Terrace restaurant, which includes items such as House-smoked salmon with basil crostini; short rib potstickers with roasted beets and horseradish; baked crab artichokes and grilled flat bread; ahi tartar; poached shrimp with edamame and avocado; and cous cous risotto with grilled vegetables. Wine stewards are on hand to assist in pairings from the Ritz's extensive collection of bottles. And, in addition to tapas and wine, the hotel's pastry chefs offer a selection of refined desserts to complement any meal. Tapas Night costs $48 per adult, $19 per child.

A new "seafood buffet at the Terrace will be held on Sundays (beginning May 4th), and includes a poke bar, bouillabaisse, charcuterie station and a variety of entrees and desserts. Cost is $52 per adult, $24 per child.

The redesigned Beach House restaurant is a new creation off the Ritz's multi-leveled pool, which will offer both lunch and dinner in a casual, al fresco setting. Connected to the Banyan Tree—one of Maui's most spectacular dining experiences—The Beach House will feature American bistro cuisine with an island flare.
