Lewers Lounge to Showcase Mixologist, New Chef's Menu

On Saturday, July 25, Southern Wine and Spirits of Hawaii's Director of Mixology Francesco LaFranconi will do his best Tom Cruise (in Cocktail, not Risky Business) impersonation as he pours with a heavy hand at Lewers Lounge in Waikiki. Between 7:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., the Halekulani hot spot will feature "live soul jazz" from the likes of Tennyson Stephens. If you haven't been (or been in a while) to Lewers Lounge, it's one of O`ahu's sexiest nightclubs, with leather banquets, soft mood lighting and a tantalizing cocktail menu designed by legendary Dale DeGroff.

If you haven't had the opportunity to experience incumbent Halekulani executive chef Vikram Garg, this is the night to do it. He has compiled a special "Sweet & Savory" menu alongside chef Darryl Fujita, who's local-boy chops have also earned well-deserved attention. At a recent demonstration for media in the Halekulani's La Mer kitchen, Garg demonstrated his enthusiasm and skills but using ingredients grown in his parents back yard—in India. We can say this: He will shock your taste buds and have you clamoring back to the hotel for more.
