This Sunday, September 8, 2013, one of the daytime highlights of the 3rd annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival will be the "Girls Got Game" brunch at the al fresco Shor restaurant. Six top chefs—which hail from Tokyo, New York, Taiwan and beyond—will prepare their best "morning after" fare at the poolside venue with sweeping views of Waikiki Beach.
Assisting in the "spirited" event will be local mixologist Chandra Lucariello.
And the "Plus 1"? Well, the Hyatt Regency didn't want to miss an opportunity to showcase the chops of its executive chef. Enter Chef Sven Ulrich, who will wisely stay a safe distance from the knife-weilding ladies yet toss his fare into the mix.
Guest chefs are: Dominique Crenn of Atelier Crenn in San Francisco; Harumi Kurihara of Yutori no Kukan in Tokyo; Amber Lin from Taipei; Anital Lo o Annisa, N.Y.; and Jacqueline Lau from Roy's Honolulu.
Tickets are $125 per person and can be purchased directly from the HawaiiFoodandWineFestival.com website. The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa is offering a special room night package for $189 to participants of the event. Spend the day/night and imbibe with some of the world's most talented female chefs! Plus 1!
