Get Out And Play: Princeville Pairs Golf And Massage, For Two

Kauai's Princeville Resort, which will be going under the knife in order to raise itself to St. Regis status, is offering interim packages that revolve around something that won't be changing -- the Princeville Golf Courses. With 45 holes of Robert Trent Jones, Jr. -- designed, championship-level play, Princeville is not only one of the top golf destinations on the Hawaiian Islands, but ranked by Golf Digest as one of the top golf destinations in the world.

A "Tease For Two" package (priced at $249) includes one 18-hole round of golf on either of the Prince or Makai course, and one full body massage at the Princeville Health Club & Spa -- perfect for the couple who aren't both golf aficionados. While one plays golf, the other can enjoy the spa treatment. This package is also available to one person, if he or she wishes to both play golf and receive the spa treatment. The golf portion includes a cart, bottled water, use of practice facility and a souvenir Princeville logo golf ball. The 50-minute massage can either be aromatherapy, shiatsu, Swedish or lomi lomi (traditional Hawaiian technique). It includes a full day pass for both individuals to use the spa facilities, including private locker, outdoor whirlpool, dry sauna and steam room.

Princeville is also offering "Multi-Day Golf Passes" for golfers who want to play the course more than once. The passes can either be for three rounds in five days (for $306) or five rounds in seven days (for $469) on either the Prince or Makai courses. Both represent significant savings, as the standard 18-hole green fee at the Makai Course is $175, or $195 at the Prince Course. Additional discounts may be available for guests of the Princeville Hotel or condo rentals located at Princeville at Hanalei. Log on to the resort's web site to find out about these additional promotions, which again, may be combined with the golf and spa offerings.
