Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announced this week that The Lodge at Koele will undergo a $50 million renovation, as funded by Castle & Cooke and property chairman David Murdock. The work will begin in less than a month, and should be completed by November of this year, according to a release.
The Lodge's sister property–the Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay recently wrapped its own $50 million renovation, and graduated to "Four Seasons status" upon completion of the work. The official name of the Lodge, come November, will be "Four Seasons Resort Lanai, The Lodge at Koele." Should make for interesting golf shirt logos.
The refurbishment includes renovation of all 102 guest rooms and suites, replacing all beds, and adding 42-inch flat screen televisions, furniture, carpeting, bath amenities, Internet access capabilities, coffee makers, air conditioning and heating units. The Lodge's public areas–namely it's attractive Great Hall–will each receive fresh fabrics, furniture and paint. A games room will be added, as will a Pagoda imported from China, to be constructed on the grounds.
Perhaps the biggest news is that of a brand new Spa and Wellness Center, which the hotel will begin after the New Year and hopes to complete by 2008. Visit www.fourseasons.com/lanai for more information, or call direct (808) 565-2000.
