Kona Village Resort Extends Deal of the Century

Big Island Hotel Pays Your Airfare

One of the most tranquil resorts that evokes feeling of "Old Hawaii" is the Kona Village Resort, on the Kohala Coast of the Island of Hawai'i. To encourage travelers to unwind far from the blinking lights of cell phones, computers and televisions, Kona Village is offering a hefty deal: An $800 airfare credit to those who book a higher-class room category for five nights or more.

All you need to do is book a "Deluxe", "Superior" or "Garden" room at the published rate, present an air travel voucher, and the resort will apply the $800 credit to your bill to help offset your travel. Sounds too good to be true, no? It isn't!

Additionally, guests who book for more than five nights can take part in the "Stay, Play and Relax" package that gives you a 50-minute spa treatment and four rounds of golf at the pristine Hualalai Golf Course, inclusive of green fees and cart.

A third "deal" perfect for families, or more than one couple traveling together (family reunion, anyone?), is Kona Village's "Together" package. With this option, guests who book single-room, thatched-roof hales (huts) can get a second for half off the rack rate. To boot, enjoy a stand-up paddle board lesson for half off as well.

For those who haven't been, Kona Village is a study in relaxation—the optimal locale to spend quality time with the people you arrived with. The beautiful cove is ideal for families looking to snorkel, swim or sunbathe in year-round, protected waters. Accessibility to kayaks, surfboards and scuba gear is readily at hand. A tennis pavilion, fitness center and spa offer those with a hankering for land sports or pampering activities plenty of options.

Kids especially love the resort's interior lagoon and wildlife preserve, that is ideal for birding, or a guided tour with an onsite naturalist.

The resort's hale dwellings are ultra comfortable without the electronics of today's modernized resorts. Exquisitely designed bathrooms (with jacuzzi soaking tubs), plush linens and private lanai are just the tip of the iceberg; your own swinging hammock with ocean views is the icing on the cake. For those who reside in the more urban areas throughout Hawaii, Kona Village is the perfect respite from the  bustling side of paradise.

Take the lead from Kona Village and travel while the traveling is good. Although the $800 airfare credit is good through packages booked through December 19, 2009, you must book before May 10 to take advantage of the offer.
