The Four Seasons Resort Lana'i, The Lodge at Koele, is opening up its majestic Music Room on Saturday, April 26, for an evening of hearty cuisine and local suds.
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announced this week that The Lodge at Koele will undergo a $50 million renovation, as funded by Castle & Cooke and property chairman David Murdock. The work will begin in less than a month, and should be completed by November of this year, according to a release.
On the culinary front, there's breaking news out of Lana'i City... of all places. (That's a sentence we don't often get to write.) As luck would have it, B on Hawaii was on the tiny isle last week researching a 2008 feature story for a national magazine, on the same day the Lana'i City Grille re-opened. First, a little history lesson...
It seems a bit odd writing on Lana'i at this time; I have written no less than six stories on the magnificent isle in the last four months, for magazines that include Town & Country Travel, Islands, Hawaiian Style and Modern Bride, just to name a few. Considering that Lana'i is Hawaii's smallest (of the six major) island at 90,000 acres, that's alot of ink!
