Music on the Mountain: Lanai to Host Jazz Fest

From the Lodge to Lana‘i City and Manele, the Sound of Sweet Jazz Will Fill the Lana‘i air

Any chance we get to write about Lana‘i, we’re more than thrilled to do so. Tickled pink, one of a certain generation might say. On the weekend of January 13 - 15, 2012, the Four Seasons Resorts Lana‘i will host the Lanai Jazz Festival. From the highland climes of the Lodge at Koele, bebop and swing will drift among the kiawe-scented air, while cool licks and walking bass lines will emanate from the shores of Hulopoe and the Manele Bay Resort.

Pride Mountain Vineyards on Lana'i for Holiday Dinner, You're Invited

The opportunity to sip some of the finest Viognier from Sonoma doesn't present itself every day. Nor does soaking in the ambiance that is Lana'i's Lodge at Koele. On the culinary front, there's breaking news out of Lana'i City... of all places. (That's a sentence we don't often get to write.) As luck would have it, B on Hawaii was on the tiny isle last week researching a 2008 feature story for a national magazine, on the same day the Lana'i City Grille re-opened. Four Seasons Hawaii Wants You To Spend A Free Night

It seems a bit odd writing on Lana'i at this time; I have written no less than six stories on the magnificent isle in the last four months, for magazines that include Town & Country Travel, Islands, Hawaiian Style and Modern Bride, just to name a few. Considering that Lana'i is Hawaii's smallest (of the six major) island at 90,000 acres, that's alot of ink!
