Alan Wong Opens Cocktail Development to Public

Do you like fine cocktails so much that it’s borderline scary? If so, we have a wonderful opportunity for you. On Wednesday, October 27, chef Alan Wong presents a Halloween-themed cocktail development seminar that—for the first time to the public—is open to a limited number of patrons. The session will be led by Wong’s resident Wine Director, Mark Shishido, as well as Southern Wines & Spirits’ Director of Mixology, Chandra Lam.

The three-hour tasting and mixology mayhem will include a brief talk about how to create Halloween-appropriate cocktails (perfect for hosting your own All Hallow’s party!), followed by a tasting of these various concoctions, as designed by the masters.

After which, participants will team up and create their own spooky spirit, which will then be judged by Wong and his team. The winning group will have the honor of seeing their cocktail featured on the November menu at The Pineapple Room.

Space is very limited; cost is $50. The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in the special events area at Pineapple Room. Call (808) 945-6573 for reservations.
